A joy to paint, wanting to capture the power, size and gentle nature of these amazing creatures.
Always a talking point at fairs and exhibitions, always making people stop and talk but always coming home not selling, until last summer when it was waiting for the right person to take him home.

Wildlife was where I began, from the moment I was old enough to pick up a pencil. This fox was inspired by a fleeting encounter as it crossed the road, paused briefly to look back, and then disappeared on its way.

Wales has always been a favourite place for us to holiday; the walks and scenery are simply stunning. This painting was inspired by the views in and around Beddgelert, looking down into the village within Snowdonia National Park.

There's something about just sitting and looking out at the garden watching the birds feed that inspired this work Blue Tit in Oils.
Suddenly i will get an urge to want to paint a set subject depending on what I'm doing at any given point, there is never a plan.
Pleased to say this work went to a lovely home of a bird watcher.

Wild Scotland

Scottish Landscape oil on canvas

A past SOLD piece which now proudly hangs in the customers home as shown, this was a few years ago and wanted to give the impression of a cold misty winter morning as the swan majestically comes into view.

Swan in the Mist

Oil on Canvas

A break away from my usual wildlife subjects, this piece was created as a personal challenge: exploring an industrial landscape while drawing on my long-standing love of steam trains. It became a popular work at exhibitions, often sparking conversation, and now hangs in a private home, bringing joy to its owner.
